That's all you like about Japan, or their paper clips? Personally, I've never found any problem with American paperclips. However, I've found trouble with American electric staplers (usually I've had to staple the pages at least twice to achieve the affect of one staple.
Jeez I can't wait for the years of bloggering of how much you miss Japan.
